How do I disable my Microsoft Windows firewall?

 Thank you for contacting Software Secure Support.

To disable the Windows Firewall, please do the following:

1.     Click the Start Menu.

2.     On XP, select the "Run" command.  On Vista, type into the "Start Search" field.

3.     Type the command "Services.msc" and press the Enter key.

4.     Click "Continue" if necessary.

5.     Right-click the "Windows Firewall service" entry.

6.     Select the "Properties" command.

7.     Change "Startup type" to "Disable" if it is not already set.

8.     Click the "Apply" button.

            9.     Click the "Start
