PSI Secure Browser- Stuck on "Please Wait" screen

If you encounter issues where the system is looping around 'please wait' either after launching Secure Browser or at the Security Check page, please try configuring your localhost file as follow:

On MAC

 

 

 

   3. If your Hosts file is blank, please copy and paste the following lines into your nano editor:

# #
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1             localhost
255.255.255.255   broadcasthost
::1                       localhost
fe80::1%lo0          localhost

 

 

Try launching Secure Browser. 

 

 

On PC

1. Search for 'Notepad' and run it as an administrator:

 

 

2. Go to File -> Open and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

 

3. Set display to All Files (*.*)

 

 

4. Select Hosts file and Open it.

 

 

5. If your Hosts file is blank, please copy and paste the following lines into your notepad editor

# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
#      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # source server
#       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
#    127.0.0.1       localhost
#    ::1                 localhost

 

6. Click File -> Save to save your changes

7. Try launching Secure Browse.
