Securexam and BitDefender Installation Issue

Students with Bitdefender AV may be experiencing the following scenarios:

 

Scenario 1:         If Securexam has been already installed:

·         Blank screen after getting exams and licenses/ No exams on the list

Scenario 2:       During Securexam installation, students may get the following error:

·         Error writing to file: C:\Program Files (x86) \Software Secure, inc\Securexam Student\ssi-emd.exe. Verify that you have access to that directory.

If you get exams and licenses, no exams will display on the list.

 

Workaround:

Scenario 1:

·         Place the attached file (ssi-emd.exe) into the cd %TEMP%

·         Get exams and licenses

·         Login and Take an exam

Student should be able to log in and take and exam.

Scenario 2:

 

·         Select “abort” during installation

·         Place the attached file (ssi-emd.exe) into the cd %TEMP%

·         Get exams and licenses

·         Login and Take an exam

 

Student should be able to log in and take and exam.
