RPNow-Remote Proctor is freezing during the interview process or message says cannot continue

If you encounter an issue with the software freezing during the interview process or a message is displayed that it cannot continue, please follow the steps below to solve the issue.

Solution:

Windows:

1. Please temporarily disable your Anti-Virus/Firewall (NOTE: This is only temporary)

2. Download and run the file at the bottom of this KB article. (Might need to click more info and run anyway if blocked by windows)

3. Navigate to myrpinstall.com, select proper organization, and continue to download page

4. Click on the Windows icon to download the Remote Proctor Now setup file

5. Locate the setup file

a. Typically saved in the downloads folder (C:/Users/(Your User Name)/Downloads

6. Right-click the setup.exe file and select properties

7. Select the Compatibility tab and place a check on the checkbox next to Run this program as an administrator.

8. Click Apply

9. Double click the setup file to launch the Remote Proctor Now software and attempt to take your exam

Mac OSX:

1. Please temporarily disable your Anti-Virus/Firewall (NOTE: This is only temporary)

2. Make sure you are logged in to an Admin account

3. Relaunch the Remote Proctor software and attempt to access your exam
