Orange County Public Schools-Questions are Blank During Exam

Orange County Public Schools is currently encountering an issue where the questions show up blank for some students.

If you are experiencing an issue where the questions are blank, please check what version of Internet Explorer you are using.  If you are using Internet Explorer 8 please upgrade to Internet Explorer 9, or higher. Once you upgrade to Internet Explorer 9, or higher, you should be able to properly view the questions.

USA-Questions are not displaying properly on my Mac

Some USA Mac user's are experiencing issues with questions not displaying properly. Certain questions are not loading and only show a blank screen. This is currently a known issue. If you are encountering this issue while attempting an exam, please try the work-around posted below.

Solution:

Resize the Remote Proctor Now window. Changing the size of the Remote Proctor window will automatically refresh the page. Once the page reloads the questions should be displayed properly. 

If resizing the Window as described above did not solve the issue please also try to click the "Count Characters" button displayed in the essay. This will also reload the page and the questions should then display properly.

If you are attempting to take an RPNow exam for OUM and the "Submit" button is not displayed after clicking the "Insert Password" button and you are unable to enter the exam, please follow the steps below:

Solution:

  1. Click inside the Password field so the cursor is in the Password text box
  2. On your keyboard click the "Enter" key
  3. Your exam should now load

Vanderbilt Mandatory Update

There is an important update available for your Vanderbilt license for use with the Remote Proctor PRO.  

 

NOTE: This is a mandatory update that you must perform as soon as possible to be ready for your next exam:

 

Please follow these simple steps to update your license:

  •          For PC (Windows) Users: Launch Securexam Browser by double clicking the Securexam Browser v7 icon on your desktop and select Help>Get license
  •          For MAC users - navigate to Applications/Securexam and click the Securexam Browser icon and select Securexam Browser>Add New License
  •          For both PC and MAC enter:

o   Username: vanderbilt_browser

o   Password: browser

  •          The software will then prompt you to close and restart it to accept the changes.

 

If you don’t have the software already installed, you can ignore this message. You will get the updated license when you run the software for the first time.

The new Microsoft Operating System "Windows 10" is currently unsupported!

Software Secure currently does not support Microsoft Windows 10 at this time. If you have a computer with Microsoft Windows 10 installed and are using any of the Software Secure products, please contact your Exam Provider.
